Yeh Jawani Yeh Diwani .......काश trekking इतना glamorous ,easy,और Five star facilities वाला होता जैसा इस फिल्म में दिखाया है। Nonetheless first half with trekking as a backdrop is breathtaking.... in this somewhat sequel of "wake up sid " all the participants have GROWN in stature n come of age....be it KJo as a producer or Ayan Muckerji as a director.....The movie is glossy, locations posh , everyone looks good( even kalki for that matter) as you would expect in todays age n time and also considering this a KJo movie. There is nothing new in the story but still it works big time becoz of a mint fresh ,youthful n efforvescent treatment.It once again proves my opinion about KJo ,that he is a better producer than a Director..Deepika padukone is a total relvealation in this rom com....the way she has portrayed the character of simple studious girl next door is superb....I am more biased towards her performance becoz of the Indian way she has been presented, be it a shy girl in first half or glam looking ravishing beauty with brains in second half ..Deepika is simply awesome....her eyes speak with you directly.....Totally smitten by her.....Not to take anything away from charmingly selfish RK....his choice of films un types of roles he essays is simply amazing....he is effortless easygoing n confidant with acting n dancing alike....Their physics n chemistry blows you away...just wondering how it must be when they were oficially seeing each other......Kalki with her unabashed boldness and ' on your face' attitude with some peppy dialogues is likable(I naver ever thought that I will b writing this abt kalki)... .The visuals of Manali n Khipshi pass are out of the world....The DOP is art in motion.....the songs are hummable with 'kabeera' being very melodious un " balam pichkari" colourful ...As for the ' Ghagara via Agra'..its pure item song which does not take the story forward nor do you understand the purpose...And lastly Madhuri .. she is as good as it gets but you are left wondering that KJo n Aayan have not been able to utilize her fully....The first half of the second half needs to be edited by atleast 20 minutes as it slackens the pace too much...From my side three n half stars ...two for the movie and one and half for Deepika n Rk....Go n enjoy this RomCom
